Hammie in Austria

Last week Nalani (Lina is writing) flew to Austria to spend time with her mormor while her parents tried to go out climbing in a somewhat rainy Zillertal.

Calling home from the airport.

Nalani enjoying the view, before she realizes she's scared of heights.

Breakfast is sweet, especially with entertainment from mormor.

Mormor is awesome!

A Growing Girl

Within the first week of returning to Sweden we took Hammie down for a scheduled checkup. These regular checkups are to ensure that our little girl is growing normally and to give other kids something to measure up to (she is the world's greatest girl). Hammie clocked in at 8.96 kilograms and proceeded to throw her weight around the nurses office, establishing her territory by chewing on everything she could get her hands on.

Skrunchy Face, Good Hair, and Cool Rocks

A few photos

Skrunchy face is Hammie's newest way of showing her discontent. It has replaced the "throw my head back in disgust" maneuver. Occasionally she'll employ both signals when she's really frustrated.

Nothing like the feeling of wind in your hair

Rocks are cool.
